📍Local Impact: Business Growth & Community Highlights

🌟 Business Highlight: Culinary Corners Launches in Lake Park, Creating 60 Food Industry Jobs 🥘

Lake Park welcomed Culinary Corners, a groundbreaking $11.2 million food-business hub offering shared commercial kitchens, an industrial canning facility, and boutique coffee roasting. Launched on March 13, the 26,529 sq ft center supports three key tenants—Oceana Coffee, Florida Canning, and Kiss Kitchens—and is expected to create around 60 new jobs in food production and operations.

Funded in part by Palm Beach County’s business loan program and an SBA-backed grant, Culinary Corners addresses a major barrier for aspiring food entrepreneurs: access to affordable, professional-grade equipment and space. County Commissioner Bobby Powell praised its launch as “a shining example of collaboration,” and this incubator model could pave the way for more homegrown culinary businesses in the region.

🏢 Business Highlight: “The Spruce” Brings 117 Workforce Housing Units to West Palm Beach 🌆

Palm Beach County is battling an affordable housing crisis, with average rents soaring to $2,387 in West Palm Beach and $2,822 in Boca Raton. In response, The Spruce, an 8-story, $88 million mixed-use residential project, is rising in Northwood Village—aimed at easing the pressure for local workers.

Backed by a public-private partnership and developed by Affiliated Development, The Spruce will feature 270 total units, 117 of which are reserved for workforce housing, prioritizing teachers, county employees, and first responders. Construction began in September 2024 and is on track for an April 2026 grand opening.

And yes, there’s a rooftop pool. The 8th-floor amenity deck will offer ocean and intracoastal views, plus a bar and lounge area—bringing resort-style living to those who serve our community.

📍 Location: Northwood Village, West Palm Beach
🏗️ Opening: Estimated April 2026
🏘️ Units: 117 workforce units out of 270 total
